Essie Bikini So Teeny & Sally Hansen CSM Purple Pulse

So...I'm a little slow around here these days! Here it is Friday and I'm only just now getting to my mani of the week. Which was actually only the mani of about 3 days, because I got the bright idea to Franken some polish and I always end up with it all over my fingers. I'm not sure how it happens, but I end up looking like a 5 year old in the finger paints!

So, my mani of the week. I went with Essie's Bikini So Teeny, a pretty periwinkle blue. For interest, I added a row of white polka dots along the base. Then I mixed a bit of the white with a drop of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Purple Pulse to make a pale purple, which I dotted above that line. Repeat twice, adding more Purple Pulse, then I did the final line of dots at the tip in straight, unmixed Purple Pulse. It was my first attempt at using a dotting tool, and it wasn't quite big enough for the effect I wanted, so my dots are pretty uneven because I kept trying to make them bigger *sad face*

Somehow or other, I always manage to take pictures before I clean my edges up...don't you feel like we're really good friends when you see me all unfinished? :)

This past Friday, I finally got my real set of dotting tools in the mail. Next time I try this, I expect much better results!

Remember when I said this only lasted for three days because of the frankening? This is what it looked like before I cleaned it all off...
See those melting dots? They look so sad!
