Special 2G1O Announcement!!

This blog started as just a fun project between Dana and me. It was one of those, "Hey, we like this and we talk about it all the time, wouldn't it be fun to blog about it?" We know there are eight or so billion other bloggers out there who do the same thing. It's all about the obsession. If you don't like that word, call it what you want. Passion. Love. Hobby. Pick a word, it all means the same thing.

We also all know that it's an expensive one, especially when you get into those rare and hard to find ones that are discontinued. Not to mention the first time you discover the indie polish scene or that Gasp! You can make your own!

Fortunately, those two things sometimes go hand-in-hand in the best of possible ways. I think it is, anyhow. I'm hoping you feel the same.

If you've been with us for awhile, you're already probably aware where this is going. So I encourage you to head over there and check it out right now. Don't even finish reading this!

If you haven't, here's some back story. About four or so months ago I decided that I needed to have Essie's Starry Starry Night and that instead of paying for it, I would try to make one on my own. Before I got the chance, Dana decided the same thing.

She turned out to be REALLY good at it.

What's even better was that she very much enjoyed doing it, which I think is more important. In her own words, it's like science for girls! After all, if you don't love what you do you're probably not going to do it for very long. And that would be a terrible loss.

She finally agreed that hey...maybe she should start selling these. We've had a bare bones DLC shop page up here on the blog for awhile now but it's sort of languished, put on the back burner for other more important issues.

Through enourmous amounts of patience, coding, exploring options, and almost absolutely no help from anyone else (except for a bunch of encouragement and possibly some prodding to get it done), I would like to announce that Dreamy Lacquer Company is finally in business. Hurrah!

You can still go to the shop page above, but it's really going to redirect you to her website. Which I encourage you to visit. Often. And throw all of your monies at it. Okay, not all. As much as you can. I wouldn't want to bankrupt you.

The site right now is completely new, so do have some patience if you have any issues. She's got a list of helpful instructions and of course, you can always ask us here as well.

What started off as fun times between two friends has become something so much more. We hope you like it!

DLC is born!
